Ubud Palace and the Monkey Forest are both just a short drive away, while Gianyar is about 20 minutes away. There are ten Garden Rooms positioned along the northern perimeter, all 53sq meters with a private courtyard. The three Uma Pool Suites have infinity-edge pools and uninterrupted views across the valley down to the snaking river. The Uma Suite is similar, but without a pool. The Shambhala Suite, located on the southern edge of the resort, has possibly the best infinity-edge pool, and a private treatment area.In recognition of Bali?s powerful spirituality, Uma Ubud offers a substantial COMO Shambhala Retreat, designed for those seeking greater health and mental quietude through yoga and related treatments. Facilities include four treatment rooms, a reflexology area, meditation bale, steam, sauna and 25 meter pool. There is also a gym. Treatments are based on Asian traditions, with an emphasis on the Balinese heritage where beauty and massage rituals form a key part of daily life (the Javanese Lulur Royal Bath ? incorporating exfoliation with massage, a scented bath and skin softening treatment ? is still used prior to wedding ceremonies).
